Introducing Workspace: The onchain operating environment for treasury teams

Workspace gives your entire treasury team a home inside Safe — one dashboard across all your Safes, a security hub, a shared address book, and email login for everyone who needs visibility without holding a key. The same security backbone, now with a fully-fledged operating environment.

What is Workspace?

Workspace is four capabilities shipping as one integrated experience.

Now your entire treasury team can participate in onchain operations, no wallet required: the CFO logs in with an email, the ops lead can see every pending transaction in one view, the compliance officer has a real audit trail, and the signers keep their keys secure.

Workspace is your team's home base

Workspace gives your whole organization a single home inside Safe. When you log in, you land in your organization's Workspace in a teams-first view.

From here, you see everything that matters at a glance: your organization's Safes, pending transactions across all of them, your team members and their roles, and a shared address book. No more switching between Safes to piece together what's happening. Workspace gives you the full picture.

Security Hub

Every Safe holds material assets. Ensuring your configuration protects them should not require hunting across multiple settings screens.

Security Hub brings your full security posture into one place. Signers, threshold configuration, guars, recovery options, and Safe version are all visible and editable from a single tab. Weak configurations, such as a low threshold or no recovery option set, are flagged and resolvable directly.

Security Hub is built for compliance teams that need evidence, not assurances. More than a place to store assets, the Hub is where your team can understand and actively manage your security posture.

Passwordless email login

Team members can now log in with an email address, via one-time passcode or Google OAuth, alongside the existing wallet-based (SIWE) login. This means you can invite your CFO, operations lead, or compliance team into Safe without asking them to install a browser extension or manage a private key.

Email login doesn't replace wallet signing. It extends who can participate. View balances, track pending transactions, manage contacts, coordinate approvals — all without holding a key. Learn more here.

Shared address book

Every organization has a set of addresses they interact with repeatedly — payroll recipients, protocol contracts, exchange hot wallets. Workspace introduces a shared address book that lives at the organization level instead of the individual level. Add or update a contact once, and every team member has access to the correct address.

Why this matters

Safe secures more than $100 billion in onchain assets for organizations like Aave, ENS, 1inch, and hundreds of enterprise treasury teams. These teams chose Safe because it's the most battle-tested smart account infrastructure in the industry, and because we never asked them to trade security for convenience.

Signing and execution were already solved. What sat outside Safe was the operations around them — coordination, visibility, and team management were happening elsewhere. Workspace brings that inside Safe, built on the same foundation that earned that trust.

The vault was always there. Now so is the office.

Who this is for

If you're already using Safe with a team, Workspace is a direct upgrade. Create a Workspace, invite your team members by email, link your existing Safes, and you'll immediately have a single view of your organization's onchain operations, no migration required.

If you're evaluating Safe for enterprise treasury management, Workspace is the reason to start now. You no longer need every stakeholder to be crypto-native. Email login brings in the people who need visibility and coordination without requiring them to manage keys.

"If we want things to stay as they are, things will have to change." Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, The Leopard (1958)

These words were written about a society watching the world transform around it — the choice between adapting and becoming irrelevant. For Safe, adaptation isn't a compromise of what we stand for. It's how we stand for it.

Safe was born in 2018 to solve a problem that was both technical and human: to enable organizations to manage funds onchain without trusting a single point of failure, whether that’s a bad actor or an honest mistake. Eight years and $100 billion in secured assets later, the organizations using Safe look different from the ones we started with.

In 2018, we built for the time. That meant lean teams, shared wallets, and cypherpunk complexity worn as a badge of honor. Safe was exactly what the industry needed. In 2026, we're building for the times — for the CFOs, compliance officers, and ops leads who now run onchain operations at scale, and need infrastructure that meets them where they are.

Cypherprise is Safe's answer to that reality. It's the conviction that enterprise scale and cypherpunk values are not in conflict; that you can have an audit trail and a Safe multisig, a CFO dashboard and self-custody, and cryptographic truth built for institutional reliability.

This is not a problem that just any team could solve. The obvious answer would be to centralize control: add a dashboard, abstract away the keys, call it institutional. Safe's answer is more sophisticated and rooted in our principles: to extend who can participate without changing who holds the keys, to add coordination without altering the security model, and to build the operational layer on the same trusted infrastructure the industry’s biggest networks already rely on.

The enterprise layer is new, but the foundation it runs on is eight years old. That combination exists because Safe built the foundation first.

Cypherprise is what crypto looks like when it grows up without selling out.

Getting started

Setting up your Workspace takes under two minutes:

  1. Create a Workspace and give it your organization's name.

  2. Invite your team by email address, no wallet required.

  3. Link your Safes — connect your existing Safes to the Workspace.

That's it. Your team has a shared home base for every Safe your organization manages.

What comes next

Workspace is the foundation. In the weeks following launch, we're shipping the controls layer that turns Workspace from a coordination tool into a full operational platform:

  • Activity feeds and audit trails: Full visibility into who did what, when, and with what authorization. The compliance layer enterprise teams have been asking for.

  • Passkey signing: Sign transactions from your phone using your device's secure enclave. No hardware wallet required for day-to-day operations.

We're building toward a future where Safe isn't just where you store assets — it's where your organization runs its entire onchain operation. Workspace is the coordination layer. What follows is the execution layer: how your organization proposes, approves, and completes transactions with the same security Safe brings to storage. The full picture is an onchain operating environment where every step, from access to approval to execution, runs on Safe. That is what Safe is becoming.

Start today

Workspace launches June 15th, 2026, at app.safe.global.

If you're an existing enterprise team, you'll see the option to create a Workspace as soon as you log in. If you want a guided walkthrough or early access before launch day, reach out to our team at enterprise@safe.global.

Your whole team belongs in Safe. Now they can be.
